We are the Squarebody Syndicate, and we're all about the '73 to '87 GM truck body style. It all began with a blue and white GMC that our founder's dad bought back in the day. From tinkering around with that truck, our founder Joe Yezzi and his cousin Rob Yezzi developed a genuine love for these gorgeous rides and a treasure trove of know-how. That's why we're here: to geek out over these classics with all of you and spread the Squarebody love.
When it comes to squarebody trucks, Joe Yezzi and his cousin Rob Yezzi have taken the world by storm with their innovative and eye-catching designs. The Syndicate Series '01 (SS01) is the truck that put them on the map, transforming a 1974 Chevrolet Cheyenne Super 10 into a custom build that turned heads and won awards across the globe. It all started in Joe's backyard shop, and it's been a whirlwind of success ever since.
Squarebody Syndicate outdid itself with the launch of its masterpiece, the Syndicate Series 02 (SS02). Known for their attention to detail and unwavering quality, the company's GMC Sierra Grande pays homage to the truck awarded to the chief mechanic of the winning team in the 59th Annual Indianapolis 500. This superb tribute fully displays their dedication to quality craftsmanship, built exclusively for Squarebody enthusiasts and motorheads alike.
When Joe Yezzi bought the crew-cab long bed square he knew that he wanted to use it for towing. And really, what better engine is there to put into a truck for that than a Cummins diesel? Then there was the length. That was a long tow pig, and he wanted to cut it down a bit. So he took it to Kyle at Metalox Fabrications and had him do some crazy work. After all of the modifications it's roughly the same setup as a 2019 crew cab.
